Two Chinese men in a bizarre incident in eastern Jiangsu Province of the country apparently tried to sell their kidney for Apple’s iPhone 6s which was launched two days back.
One was identified as Wu, reportedly wanted an iPhone 6s but could not manage the money for it. while Huang his friend suggested they sell a kidney each for money.
On the internet, both found an illegal agent who told them to undergo medical examinations at a hospital in Nanjing province, according to state-run China Daily.
But as both arrived at a hospital, the agent who they found on the internet did not turn up as promised.
Both later reconsidered selling their kidneys. Wu advised his friend, Huang, back out of the plan but he did not listen.
His friend then called the cops, however, Huang ran away and has been out of reach so far.
Wu, one who had first suggested the plan, told his friend to reconsidered. However, his friend wanted to continue with the plan.
One of the two men since then has gone missing, that was reported citing local newspaper Modern Express.
The country is a maturing smartphone market and Apple enjoys a top market position in China. The country is among the 12 nations where the iPhone 6S is will be initially available.
