On Tuesday, 2 Maoists were killed by Telangana police in an exchange of fire in the Narlapur forest area in the Warangal district of Telangana in the early hours.The early reports that came to us revealed that the Maoists, a woman and a man, were killed by the police and they recovered one .303 and a carbine from them.
The fire exchange between Naxals and police comes after many years.
As the 2 Naxals were killed on the spot, few others from the team were reported to have escaped into the jungle. Authorities have launched an extensive search in the nearby villages to catch the rest of the members of the Maoist group.From the district headquarters, additional police forces have been dispatched to join the search.
Both killed in an encounter were yet to be identified.
