Indian Cricketer Suresh Raina made his debut in 2006 at the age of 20. This left handed middle order batsman is testing his luck against Bangladesh A team as an opener. This 29 years old batsman is practicing for the South Africa series, and getting ready to take action against Bangladesh-A team with full strength which is a 3-match one day series scheduled tomorrow.
Suresh Raina is training under Rahul Dravid, incidentally Raina marked his debut in the captaincy of Dravid. Raina added, “I worked hard when Dravid was the captain. He was very solid with me, Robin Uthappa, Irfan Pathan and the other youngsters who had come into the team then. That gave me a lot of confidence and I’m very excited to play with him as my coach.”
Along with Raina and other players Karun Nair, Kedar Jadhav, Manish Pandey, Dhawal Kulkarni and Karn Sharma are assembled at the M Chinnaswamy stadium for the first time under the Dravid as team coach and Unmukt Chand as Captain.
Raina is coming back after 3 months gap, he played the last match against Bangladesh which is held on June 21st during this year. In the Second quarter of ICC World Cup 2015 India defeated Bangladesh by 109 runs, For the first time it reached quarter finals in the ICC world cup and is knocked in the same cup by the Indian team. Indians were expected to win comfortably in this match.
India will be hosting Bangladesh team on September 16, 18 and 20 and a Test game is scheduled from Sep 27 to 29. Rest three matches will be played against defending champions of Ranji Trophy at Mysore from Sep 22 to 24.
